This department intends to educate students about midwifery sciences with a recognized and accredited degree. It takes into account workforce planning and national and international health-care policy. It assist students to meet national, international professional and regulatory requirements for practicing midwifery.
Bachelor of Science in Midwifery
Bachelor of Midwifery is a full time four-year (8 semesters long) programme
The complete Bachelor of Science in Midwifery programme consists of two parts: a one (1) year general studies section followed by three (3) year clinical sciences and midwife’s programme.
Upon completion of this programme, graduates can pursue their career in the following fields and professions;
Somali secondary/high school leaving certificate, or its equivalents from a recognized secondary/high school.
